Alyssa Cigarroa
Governance
Cigarroa's central pitch is that city hall reacts to emergencies instead of planning for them, and she has pledged to put formal crisis-preparedness planning in place before disaster strikes rather than after. She has also promised to oppose any future pay raises for elected officials unless the community is consulted first, presenting it as a test of accountability to voters. She has pointed to her own six years on the council, during which she has directed her entire council salary to community causes, as evidence of that commitment.
Infrastructure
Housing is another plank of her platform: Cigarroa has said the city needs to do more to address housing availability and support new development to meet demand, though she has not yet detailed a specific program for doing so.
